The things women ask me before they start.
If yours isn’t here, ring me and ask. I’d far rather answer it than have it stop you.
I haven’t exercised in years. Am I too late?
No — and this is the question I’m asked most. Strength, balance and fitness all improve at every age, including in your sixties, seventies and beyond. We simply start from where you are today, which is exactly where everybody starts.
What if I have an injury, or a knee or hip replacement?
That’s very common, and we build around it. Tell me about it on our first call and I’ll design a plan that works with your body rather than against it. If anything needs clearing with your GP or physiotherapist first, I’ll tell you so.
Do I need any equipment, or a gym membership?
Neither. I bring everything we need to your home. No membership, no wall of mirrors, and no room full of people to measure yourself against.
What actually happens in a session?
We warm up, we work — usually a mix of strength, balance and mobility — and we finish properly. I guide you through every movement, correct your form, and adjust anything that doesn’t feel right on the day. You’ll be working, but you won’t be wrecked.
How long are sessions, and how often should I train?
It depends on your goals, your body and your week. Most women find a sustainable rhythm quickly once we’ve talked it through. I’d rather agree on something you’ll genuinely keep doing than something impressive you’ll abandon in March.
Where do you work?
Across the Noosa Shire — Noosa Heads, Noosaville, Tewantin, Sunshine Beach, Sunrise Beach, Peregian and Cooroy. If you’re just outside that, call me anyway and we’ll see.
What does it cost?
There are single casual sessions and packages, which work out more affordable. I’ll talk you through the options on our first call — no pressure, and no obligation to continue.
Can I train with a friend?
Yes, and it’s lovely. Two-on-one sessions work beautifully for a friend, a sister or a partner — the same personal attention, shared between you.
I’m worried I’ll be the least fit person you’ve worked with.
You won’t be, and it wouldn’t matter if you were. Every single person I’ve coached started somewhere, and quite a few started barely able to get off a chair without using their hands. There is also nobody to be the least fit person in front of — no mirrored wall, no row of treadmills, just your own front room.
Is this about losing weight?
Only if you want it to be. My focus is strength, balance, energy and confidence — the things that keep you independent and enjoying your life. Bodies often change along the way, but that isn’t the scoreboard I use.
Do you offer nutrition advice?
I’m happy to give practical guidance on fuelling your body well, within my scope of practice. For anything medical or clinical, I’ll point you towards your doctor or a dietitian.
What are your qualifications, and where else do you coach?
I’m a certified Level 3 and Level 4 Fitness Coach and Personal Trainer, I hold a current CPR and First Aid certificate, and I’m a member of AUSactive — the national industry association for Australian fitness professionals. Alongside my own in-home clients I also coach at Noosa Springs and EFM Noosa.
What’s the first step?
A phone call. Ring 0497 660 628, tell me what’s going on, and we’ll work out together whether I’m the right person to help. It’s free, it’s friendly, and there’s no obligation.
Still wondering about something?
Ask me directly. There’s no such thing as a silly question, and no obligation attached to asking it.
A friendly, no-pressure chat. No commitment and no sales pitch.
